AMMONNEWS - In line with its ongoing efforts to support the local community, particularly on the education front, DAMAMAX - a subsidiary of DAMA Ventures and one of the largest backbone operators in the Kingdom providing broadband solutions through optical fiber - offered financial support to the Future Programmers Contest. The Contest was held on 17th March and was organized by the Applied Science Private University (ASU).

The Future Programmers Contest was aimed at unveiling a new generation of talented programmers across the Kingdom’s schools. As part of the Contest, the Applied Science Private University, in collaboration with a number of companies, encouraged and supported participating school students by developing their programming capabilities and transforming their ideas into success stories.

The Contest targeted10th grade - Tawjihi students, whereas each participating team consisted of three students and one supervisor or teacher from the school’s faculty. Each team was presented with the option of selecting one preferred programming language: Visual Basic, Java, C++ or Quick Basic.

President of ASU Prof. Ziad Ramadan thanked DAMAMAX for supporting the Contest and commended the Company’s sense of responsibility towards the local community. “Participation in the Future Programmer sContest was open to students from all private and public schools across the Kingdom and we are delighted that it brought forth promising young talent in the field of programming and technology.”

Commenting on the sponsorship, CEO of DAMAMAX Eng.
