Avaya Streamlines Delivery of Compliance-Tested DevConnect P...

Avaya who is a global provider of business communications and collaboration systems and services, today announced the DevConnect Select Product Program, a new program that streamlines the way customers order Avaya-compatible, third-party collaboration applications. The new program enables both Avaya customers and channel partners to directly order selected DevConnect Technology Partner applications from Avaya or its distributors. These applications were previously available only from the DevConnect partner companies or their resellers.

When applications from a DevConnect Technology Partner are chosen for the Select Product Program, they can be purchased as part of a complete Avaya-based communications solution, or individually to add specific capabilities to a customer's operations. This eliminates the need for numerous vendor relationships and transactions and simplifies the ordering process for both customers and Avaya Connect Channel partners.

Select Product Program applications are chosen by Avaya based on proven interoperability through DevConnect Compliance Testing and the important capabilities they bring to Avaya's portfolio. Eight DevConnect Technology Partners have been selected as part of the initial program, offering technologies ranging from innovative monitoring and reporting functions to predictive dialing, E911 and IP video, as well as call recording for small businesses. The eight companies include: 911 ETC, Communication Resources, Inc. (CRI), Conveyant Systems, DATEL Software Solutions, Integrated Research, NMS Adaptive, VBrick Systems and Xima Software.

The Avaya DevConnect Select Product Program is being introduced in the U.S. only, and is expected to expand globally during 2012. Delivery, implementation, service and support are provided by Select Product Program companies. Avaya DevConnect is a global program spanning technology companies in over 145 countries, focused on the development, marketing and enablement of innovative third-party products that extend the value of a customer's investment in its Avaya communication, collaboration, contact center or networking portfolios.
